Surface mount wire wound resistors can be mounted directly to the board via pick and place,
and has a lower profile than standard thru-hole axial leaded resistors.  The power rating on these
range from 0.5 watts up to 3 watts.  They are also available in non-inductive windings with
tolerances to 0.01%.
